DMCA / Copyright Policy

Last updated: January 2nd, 2025

At TheStatesPost, we respect the rights of content creators and copyright holders. We take copyright infringement seriously and respond to valid requests under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) or applicable copyright laws.

How to Report Copyright Infringement

If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on our website without authorization, please send a “DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement” to our designated agent, using the contact details below. To help us act promptly, your notice should include the following information:

  • Your full name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A clear identification of the copyrighted work — e.g. title, publication date, URL where it is published by you, or other description sufficient to identify the work.
  • The URL(s) of the infringing material on TheStatesPost that you claim is infringing. Provide direct links.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of your copyrighted material is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Where to Send a Notice

Please send the DMCA Notice to:

Email: support@thestatespost.com

Subject Line (recommended): “DMCA Takedown Request – [Your Work Title / URL]”

We strive to respond, investigate, and — if valid — remove or disable access to infringing material as soon as possible. We may request additional information if necessary.

Counter-Notice / Response from Alleged Infringer

If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a written “Counter-Notice” including:

  • Your name, address, telephone number, email address
  • Identification of the material removed (title, URL before removal)
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was in error
  • Consent to local law jurisdiction where TheStatesPost is registered (or operates)
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Once a valid Counter-Notice is received, we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a court action within the timeframe required by law.

Repeat Infringer Policy

TheStatesPost reserves the right to terminate or suspend access for users or contributors who repeatedly infringe copyright — without prior warning — as per DMCA guidelines.

Disclaimer / No Guarantee

We do not guarantee that every notice will result in removal. TheStatesPost reserves the right to require proof of ownership, verify claims, and reject incomplete or invalid requests. Hosting, display, or removal of content does not constitute legal determination of infringement.

External Links & Third-Party Content

TheStatesPost may link to third-party content (images, articles, videos, external resources). If you believe such content violates your rights, send a DMCA Notice as described above — but note that we are not responsible for external site content. We will forward legitimate complaints to the respective content owners or hosts if feasible.
